It’s Time to REVOLT with New Bosch 18V Batteries

Do you own Bosch Cordless Power Tools?  Is it time for a battery upgrade?  Take a look at Bosch’s new CORE 18V batteries.  They have gone in and completely revamped their 18V batteries!  They are now smaller, lighter, more powerful, have a longer life, and allow for more cuts and drives.  Bosch has been able to achieve all of these benefits while also delivering corded performance in high-load applications.  Traditionally, grinding and drilling concrete put extremely high-loads on batteries, causing them to overheat and reduce run time. The new CORE18V 6Ah produces up to 1,440 Watts of energy, 80% more than the previous generation’s batteries.  The CORE18V batteries are 100% compatible with all Bosch 18V cordless power tools.

The CORE18V batteries boast advanced Lithium-ion technology, welded connections for efficiency and durability, and CoolPack 2.0 for cooler operation.   What all of this boils down to is up to 32% more work per charge.  The Bosch GBH18V-26 SDS-plus Bulldog Rotary Hammer being powered by the next-generation CORE18V battery delivered up to 15% more holes using a 1/2 In. bit drilling 5 In. deep than previous-generation 18V 6.0 Ah batteries; with 1 In. holes drilling 6 In. deep, it delivered up to 32% more holes.  These batteries simply work harder under pressure.

The Bosch CORE18V batteries are available now for $149 for a single battery or $229 for 2 batteries and a charger.

The 2017 Milwaukee Tool New Product Symposium (NPS) was held last week at Milwaukee’s headquarters and it proved to be a whirlwind of new products and information from the red brand.  Over 80 new tools and accessories, which will be released throughout the remainder of 2017, were presented to dozens of media representatives, including construction magazines, YouTubers, Instagrammers, and your favorite construction blog (Construction Junkie, obviously).

Construction sites, especially large complex sites, are becoming more and more reliant on internet connectivity to efficiently manage their projects.  This is great news for all of you who count on a consistent internet connection to use programs like Procore, PlanGrid, and Bluebeam, among others, to communicate between different parties on the job site and in the office.

Skip the ties this year and get your dad something he really wants.  Weather he’s a full time construction workers, a handyman, or a DIYer, there are plenty of tools and accessories that will keep him productive and make his life easier.  Below is a list of products that would make any dad happy this year.  

Two of the most critical concepts of construction safety are the ability to see what you’re doing and to also be seen by others around you.  Construction workers rely heavily on their employer providing lighting systems when working in low light conditions, but those systems are not always adequate.
